Electricians in Dubai

DB faults, tripping circuits, lighting and sockets, tested before we leave.

A circuit that keeps tripping is not a nuisance to be reset — it is a protective device doing its job. The question is always what it is protecting you from, and that takes testing rather than guessing.

What is included

  • Distribution board inspection and fault diagnosis
  • Tripping circuits traced to the actual cause
  • Sockets, switches and dimmers replaced
  • Light fittings, downlights and drivers supplied and fitted
  • Extractor fans replaced or repaired
  • Water heater and AC isolators checked
  • Every circuit tested before we leave
  • Photo report of the work

Common problems we fix

  • A breaker that trips repeatedly, or only when one appliance runs
  • Lights that flicker or buzz
  • A socket that has stopped working
  • A burning smell near a socket or the DB — stop using it and call
  • Downlights that have started failing one after another
  • An extractor fan that no longer clears steam
  • A light fitting you want changed but cannot reach safely

Not on the list? It almost certainly still falls to us — describe it and we will tell you straight away whether it is ours.

How it works

  1. 01 Tell us what is happening, in your own words.
  2. 02 A technician sees it and tells you what is actually wrong.
  3. 03 You get a written quote before any work starts.
  4. 04 We do the work, and clear up after it.
  5. 05 You get photographs of the finished job.

What it costs

You get a written, itemised quote before anyone starts, so the price is agreed rather than discovered. If the job turns out to be bigger once it is opened up, the work stops and you hear about it first.

We do not publish a price list, because the honest answer to "how much?" depends on what is actually wrong. Send a description and a photograph and you will get a real number.

Electrical — questions people ask

Why does my breaker keep tripping?

Because something is drawing more current than the circuit allows, or because there is a fault to earth. The first is usually too much on one circuit; the second is a genuine safety issue. Resetting it repeatedly tells you nothing and risks the thing the breaker exists to prevent. Testing finds out which it is in minutes.

Can you add extra sockets?

Usually yes, depending on the circuit and how the flat is wired. In a rented property the owner needs to agree first, since it is a permanent alteration. We will tell you what is possible before quoting rather than after.

Do electrical works need approval in Dubai?

Routine repairs and replacements do not. Anything that alters the supply, the distribution board or the building’s fixed installation can need approval from DEWA or the building management, and some towers have their own rules about which contractors may work in them. We will tell you if your job falls into that category, and arrange it rather than leaving you to.

A light fitting has stopped working. Is it the fitting or the wiring?

Usually the fitting or its driver, particularly with LED downlights, which fail far more often than the wiring behind them. We test rather than replace on a hunch, because replacing a fitting that was never the fault is an expensive way to find out.

Is there anything I should not attempt myself?

Anything inside the distribution board, and anything that involves a burning smell, a scorch mark or a shock — however slight. Changing a bulb is fine. Beyond that the risk is not worth the saving.
